Autobiography etymologically means "to writesomething about our own life to say something about the "self" , in relation to how we produce our identities when we write about ourselves or the way we have lived our lives.

We can consider in which way autobiographies as self narratives, diaries of our lives and other self-reflective practices, play a fundamental role in becoming observers and builders of our lives.
